House cleaning in Kuwait

House cleaning in Kuwait, for us, means the team works through the home room by room with a fixed plan: top to bottom and inside to outside, so no dust falls on what has already been cleaned. It starts with ceilings, AC units and light fittings, then walls, doors and windows, then furniture, and ends with the floors. A separate team works in the kitchen and bathrooms with different products from those used in the rooms, so bathroom products never travel to the bedrooms.

  • Living room and diwaniya: dust on surfaces, ornaments and lighting, the outside of sofas, glass, and vacuuming of floors and rugs.
  • Bedrooms: wardrobes outside, under the beds, mirrors, windows, floors, and changing the sheets if you ask.
  • Kitchen: grease on walls, cabinets, the hood and the oven exterior, the sink and the floor.
  • Bathrooms: basins, toilets, shower and bath, water scale on taps and tiles, and disinfection.
  • Corridors and stairs: banisters, steps and corners.
  • Yard and roof: sweeping and washing if requested, and waste collection.

Cleaning Kuwaiti houses

A Kuwaiti house usually has more than one floor, with a diwaniya, an annex, a maid’s room and a large roof, so it is priced by floor rather than by room. Cleaning one floor starts from KWD 75, and what each floor includes is agreed before work starts: whether the annex, roof and yard are included, or the interior only.

Cleaning company team in Kuwait cleaning an apartment living room and open kitchen

Apartment cleaning company in Kuwait

An apartment cleaning company in Kuwait has to recognise that a flat is not just a small house: space is limited, there is a lift and a shared stairwell, and residents want the job done in one day without disturbing the neighbours. The apartment team therefore comes in the right numbers with lighter equipment, starts with the kitchen and bathrooms because they take longest, then the rooms, and finishes with the floors. Apartment cleaning starts from KWD 28 and a studio from KWD 23.

The table shows team size and approximate time for apartment cleaning by number of rooms:

ApartmentTeam sizeApproximate time
Studio23 – 4 hours
One bedroom and living room2 – 34 hours
Two bedrooms and living room34 – 5 hours
Three bedrooms and living room3 – 45 – 6 hours
Large apartment or duplex4 – 56 – 8 hours

Move-in and move-out apartment cleaning

An empty apartment is easier to clean and allows a deeper clean at the same time: we reach inside cupboards and drawers, behind appliances, under sinks, into window tracks and AC filters. This is what a tenant asks for before moving their things in, or a landlord after a tenant leaves so the flat is handed over clean to the next one.

Studios and small apartments

In a studio the kitchen opens onto the room, so cooking grease settles on curtains, walls and the ceiling. We therefore clean the kitchen and its surroundings thoroughly first, then the bathroom, then the rest of the space.

Villa cleaning in Kuwait covering the grand hall, staircase, chandeliers and marble

Villa and palace cleaning in Kuwait

Villa cleaning differs in scale and detail: halls with high ceilings and chandeliers, a marble staircase, a diwaniya with floor seating, annexes, staff rooms, a garden and a pool. A larger team arrives with a supervisor who assigns work floor by floor, bringing tall ladders and tools for chandeliers and high windows, and grinding machines for marble.

Cleaning the diwaniya and Arabic majlis

The diwaniya receives more guests than any other room, with floor seating, back cushions and large rugs. Cushions and seating are vacuumed first, then steam cleaned, the rugs are washed, and incense burners and the traces of bakhoor and oud smoke on walls and ceiling are cleaned.

Deep cleaning or regular cleaning?

Many people ask for a “full clean” while meaning one of two different things. The table shows the difference so you can book what you need:

Steam cleaning sofas and majlis seating in a home in Kuwait

Steam sofa and majlis cleaning in Kuwait

Steam sofa cleaning in Kuwait is done in your home with nothing moved out: a machine sends hot steam with a fabric-appropriate cleaner that loosens dirt and grease from between the fibres, then extracts it with the dirty water in the same pass, so the sofa is not left wet for long hours. Before starting, the cleaner is tested on a hidden part of the fabric for colour-fastness, and tough stains such as coffee, ink and grease are pre-treated with a dedicated product before the steam. It starts from KWD 1.8 per metre.

A sofa usually needs 4 to 8 hours to dry completely, helped by running the AC and a fan. Sitting on it before it dries is not advised, because pressure on damp fabric leaves marks.

The table compares sofa fabric types and how each is cleaned:

Fabric typeSuitable methodNote
Cotton and blendsSteam and extractionThe most common, responds well
VelvetLight steam and pile brushingBrushed in one direction after cleaning
Chenille and linenCleaning with minimal waterColour tested first
Genuine leatherLeather cleaner and conditioner, no steamSteam dries and cracks leather
Faux leatherWiped with a mild cleanerNo solvents

Leather sofa cleaning

A leather sofa is never steam cleaned. It is cleaned with a leather-specific product that lifts dirt and oils from the pores, then conditioned with a cream that keeps it supple so it does not crack in Kuwait’s dry, permanently air-conditioned interiors.

Floor seating and back cushions

Floor seating in the majlis is vacuumed first because dust collects in its folds, then steam cleaned, and the covers are left to dry before the seating is rearranged.

Steam cleaning carpets, fitted carpet and mattresses in Kuwait

Carpet and fitted carpet cleaning in Kuwait

In Kuwait, carpets collect more fine dust than any other item in the home, especially after dust storms. They are first vacuumed with a powerful machine, on both sides where possible, then washed with steam or a carpet-washing machine depending on the type, and the water is extracted. Turkish and Belgian machine-made carpets and fitted carpet start from KWD 0.7 per m².

Handmade and Persian rugs

A handmade wool or silk rug is not treated like a machine-made one: its colour-fastness is tested, it is cleaned with less water, lower heat and a mild product, and its pile is brushed in its natural direction. It starts from KWD 1.8 per m², and for very valuable pieces we recommend a specialist rug wash and tell you so.

Mattress cleaning

A mattress collects sweat, dead skin cells and the dust mites that trigger allergies. It is vacuumed with a fine-filter machine, its stains are treated, it is disinfected on both sides and left to dry before the sheets go back on. It starts from KWD 14 per mattress.

Curtain cleaning in place

Curtains are cleaned while hanging, with steam and extraction, so they do not need taking down and rehanging; prices start from KWD 9.5 per piece. Very delicate curtains such as silk are best taken down and sent to a laundry.

Kitchen and bathroom cleaning

The kitchen and bathroom are the hardest parts of a home because their dirt is not dust but grease and scale. In the kitchen, grease builds up on the hood, the wall behind the cooker and the upper cabinets, and needs a degreaser left for a few minutes before scrubbing. In the bathroom, Kuwait’s water leaves white scale on taps, glass and tiles, removed with a product that does not damage metal or marble. Kitchens start from KWD 18.5 and bathrooms from KWD 9.5.

  • In the kitchen: the hood and its filters, the wall behind the cooker, cabinets outside and inside if empty, the sink and its drain, the floor.
  • In the bathroom: scale on taps and shower, tile grout, toilet and basin, mirrors, and disinfection at the end.

Marble polishing and floor cleaning

Every floor has its method: marble reacts to acids, so it is cleaned with a mild product and machine-polished if it has lost its shine or shows light scratches, with grinding and polishing starting from KWD 1.4 per m². Ceramic and porcelain are washed with a floor scrubber and their grout cleaned. Wooden parquet is never flooded; it is wiped with a special low-moisture cleaner.

Window and facade cleaning

Window cleaning covers glass, frames and the window tracks where sand collects, starting from KWD 4.5. Building facades and the exterior glass of high floors need special equipment and start from KWD 93 per facade.

Post-construction apartment cleaning in Kuwait removing cement and paint residue

Post-construction and renovation cleaning

Cleaning after construction is harder than any other clean: cement and plaster spots on floors, paint drops on glass and doors, silicone and adhesive around basins, and fine dust that gets into everything, even AC vents and the inside of cupboards. Spots are removed with tools that do not scratch the surface, the dust is vacuumed, then the floors are washed more than once until the white film is gone.

It is based on the apartment or floor price, then set after inspection according to the amount of residue, because a flat that has only been painted is very different from one the builders have just left.

Cleaning after a fire and after events

After a small kitchen fire, soot stays on walls and ceiling and a smoke smell in fabrics; soot is removed with a special dry sponge before any water so it does not spread. After gatherings and occasions, a quick clean of the majlis, carpets and kitchen is requested the same day or the next.

Home disinfection

Disinfection comes after cleaning, not before: high-touch surfaces such as door handles, switches, taps, kitchen counters and bathrooms are disinfected with products approved for household use, and the space is ventilated afterwards. It is usually requested after illness in the home or before a new baby arrives.

Office, school and mosque cleaning

For offices and companies we provide regular cleaning after hours or on holidays so work is not disrupted, starting from KWD 37 per office. We clean schools before the term starts, mosques before Ramadan and Fridays, and restaurants after closing, with a plan suited to each place.

Water tank washing and pest control

Cleanliness in Kuwait is not complete with clean rooms alone: a home’s water passes through a ground tank and then a rooftop tanki, and both need washing and disinfection every 6 months. Tanki washing starts from KWD 4.5, with full details in water tank cleaning company in Kuwait and water tanki washing in Kuwait.

If cockroaches appear in the kitchen or bed bugs in the bedrooms after cleaning, cleaning removes what they feed on but does not eliminate them. We therefore schedule the treatment right after the deep clean; the pests and how they are controlled are covered in pest control company in Kuwait.

Cleaning company prices in Kuwait

Cleaning prices in Kuwait are calculated per unit: the whole apartment, a floor, per metre for sofas and carpets, or per piece for mattresses and curtains. The prices in the services table above are starting prices; the final price varies with size, condition and added services.

What determines the cleaning price?

  • Size and number of rooms and bathrooms: bathrooms and the kitchen take the most time.
  • Condition: a regularly cleaned home differs from an abandoned one or one after construction.
  • Extra items: sofas, carpets and mattresses are priced separately.
  • Heights: chandeliers and high windows need equipment.
  • Frequency: periodic contracts cost less than one-off visits.

The cheapest cleaning company in Kuwait

Our lowest cleaning prices in Kuwait start from KWD 23 for a studio and KWD 28 for an apartment. The price you are quoted is what you pay, with no items appearing at the end of the day.

Are there hidden charges?

No. Products, equipment and transport are included in the price, and anything you ask for during the visit outside what we agreed is priced for you before it is done.

Does the cleaning company work 24 hours?

We work daily from 7 am to 11 pm, all week. Most people searching for a “24-hour cleaning company” want an early slot or one after work, which is available within these hours, and post-event cleaning can be arranged the same evening up to 11 pm.

How to choose a cleaning company in Kuwait

  • Ask exactly what the price covers: “full cleaning” is not enough.
  • Does the team bring products and equipment? And what kind of steam machines.
  • Are the kitchen and bathrooms done with separate products? A basic of hygiene.
  • Are fabrics tested before steaming? It protects the sofa from colour change.
  • Is there a final walk-round with you? And what happens if you notice something afterwards.
  • Are the promises realistic? Be wary of unbelievable prices and permanent “offers”.

Tips for keeping your home clean between visits

  • Clean from top to bottom: shelves, then furniture, then the floor.
  • Close windows on dusty days: and wipe surfaces with a slightly damp cloth, not a dry one.
  • Run the hood while cooking: it cuts grease on walls and cabinets.
  • Dry the bathroom after showering: it reduces scale on glass and taps.
  • Vacuum sofas and carpets weekly: it delays the need for steam cleaning.
  • Treat a stain straight away: with a clean cloth, without hard rubbing.
